The Vitalize Peel is very safe and applied using a three-step procedure. While you will notice an immediate difference after just one treatment, following up with a series of 3-6 chemical peels will give you astounding results.
Chemical peeling accelerates skin exfoliation using a specific combination of substances that yield renewed, healthier, more youthful skin and a consistent, uniform complexion.
After extensive research, Perfexion has adopted Skinmedica's Vitalize peel to address skin issues like sun, acne, and environmental damage. This particular brand of chemical peel is extremely safe and applied in a three-step treatment. Results are noticeable after one peel, but COMPELLING after three to six.
Prepping Solution → Peeling Solution → Retinol Solution
- Prepping solution (Isopropyl Alcohol, Water/Aqua/Eau, Acetone)
- Peeling solution (Alcohol Denat., Salicylic Acid, Resorcinol, Lactic Acid, Panthenol, Isoceteth-20) - variable strength by # of coats
- Retinol Solution (Alcohol Denat., Retinol)
Discomfort: Mild tingling or burning
Post Treatment Appearance: Mild redness and a yellowish tinge for 2-3 hours
Frequency: 3-6 times, 4 weeks apart

This chemical peel usually takes up to 45 minutes and it is recommended to wait at least a month in between treatments. After the procedure, patients may notice mild redness or a slight yellow undertone for 2-3 hours and may experience mild burning, which will soon dissipate.
